Caley CHIFLEY

An innovative development which captures the urban renewal in Chifley and pioneering modern design for dual-occupancy duplexes. Combining brick, timber and metal cladding occupying the corner position Caley has it has its own character and identity,

The ground floor brick wall presents privacy while maintaining street surveillance for the residents allowing an integrated landscape design to the front yard eliminating the need for fencing. Metal clad volumes with recessed balconies dominate the first-floor façade, contrasting metal and timber privacy screens showcase the contrasting materials while maintaining rectilinear shapes.

Upon entering the visual connection is instant from the front to the rear of the house, including full width floor to ceiling glass doors culminating with a double height ceiling over the kitchen area featuring a recycled brick wall

The priority of the design was to maximise the north facing site. The architectural orientation of the        L-shaped plan was designed with outdoor and indoor living as the key element driving the project
